Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Sometimes when I dial the premium rate number I hear a busy tone or a constant ringing. Why is this?

A: In either case all of our lines are engaged and you should try again.

Q: Will I be charged for if I hear a busy tone or a constant ringing?

A: You will not be charged for this. The constant ringing means that you have not been connected to the system. You should hang up and dial again.

Q: Will I be charged as soon as I dial the premium rate number?

A: No you will be charged as soon as you hear the second dialing tone. This means that if the number in Iran is busy or there is no answer you will still be charged for the amount of time you were on the line from the second dialing tone.

Q: Will I be charged the same amount if I am calling to mobile phone in Iran?

A: Yes, you will be charged the same amount per minute if you dial to any mobile phone in Iran.

Q: What if I want to call the premium rate number from my mobile phone instead of a landline?

A: Of course you can call from your mobile phone to the premium rate number but the charge will be slightly higher. Please contact your mobile company and ask them about the premium number that you are using.

Q: Can I get an itemized bill for the quantity of calls that I make to Iran?

A: You can ask your telephone company (B.T. Cable and Wireless etc) to send you the itemized bill. Bear in mind your bill does not show the number that you dialed in Iran and will only show the premium rate number.

Q: Can I dial the premium rate number from a payphone?

A: Yes, it is very simple. But we advise you to put small change into the payphone e.g. 20 pence. After you get connected to your destination number you can add more money to the payphone.
